I’m a full-time mama, a part-time photographer, and a woman who believes that the smallest moments often carry the greatest meaning. I’m based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but my heart is always packed and ready to travel wherever love, connection, and story call me.
I’m an open book with a sentimental heart, a faithful romantic who feels everything deeply, and a part-time comedian who believes laughter belongs just as much in photographs as quiet tenderness. Nostalgia lives in my bones. I’m endlessly drawn to old love stories, handwritten letters, and the kind of beauty that feels timeless. If I’m not reading a Jane Austen novel, I’m likely watching a period piece and wishing I lived in a slower, softer era—one where moments were savored and memories were treasured.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m soaking up life with my family, chasing new places through travel, or at home crafting what I confidently believe are the best lattes you’ll ever have. I am a devoted coffee addict, a lover of slow mornings, and someone who finds joy in the ritual of creating something with care—whether that’s an espresso or a photograph.
You may notice my business carries my maiden name, Syed, even though I now share the last name Kane with the love of my life. My photography journey began before I became a wife, and keeping my maiden name felt like honoring the roots of the dream that grew alongside me—proof that some love stories don’t replace who we were, but gently build upon it.
MY PHILOSOPHY
Photography, for me, is an act of preservation. It’s about recreating the feeling of a moment—the way love looks when no one is trying, the way it feels to be held, to be chosen, to belong. I am endlessly moved by the trust my clients place in me when they invite me into their most precious seasons of life. There is nothing more magical than being allowed to witness love as it unfolds and to freeze it in time, so it can be returned to again and again.
My work is rooted in connection, vulnerability, and emotion. I don’t just want to give you photographs—I want to give you heirlooms. Images that will live beyond us, passed down through generations, carrying stories, inspiring love, and reminding those who come after of where they come from. I want you to look at your photos years from now and feel everything all over again.
